Bristol Festival of Puppetry

Hello there, this week Bristol, the city I am now residing in, is playing host to the Bristol Festival of Puppetry, hosted by the folks at Puppet Place. I urge anyone who is able to to go along and see some great shows that are taking place over the course of the festival, including work by Blind Summit, Pickled Image, Stephen Mottram to name but a few. There are also events such as The Smoking Puppet Cabaret, with new and varied work each night. Also well worth looking into are the exhibitions such as the Ray Harryhausen retrospective at the tobacco factory in association with Aardman Animations. As well as this the Collective known as Rusty Squid are doing workshops, and the Puppet Trail on North street is exhibiting various artists Puppets. I have two puppets in this exhibition myself, The Shark and Squid from 20,000 leagues under the sea so if you are around the Tobacco Factory , then do please pop in to see them up close for yourself, and if you are here from the link there then hello and feel free to leave a comment. I will be updating over the next week or so with information and pictures of bits and pieces I have been working on since January, with some puppet mechanisms and some design work. Until then, thank you for visiting.
